June Inspiration

I am finally back on my grind of blogging and creating some new designs for my Etsy shop and I am super excited to start coming up with new ideas. I have been away for a few months due to my wedding which just happened last week! We chose to due a destination wedding in Dominican Republic which typically has less planning involved but there still were a lot of details to figure out. All of my free time was taken up with emails and shopping for the wedding but I am glad everything went great. Hopefully I will have pictures soon to post up here! In the meantime, I want to start getting inspired again so of course, I went over to Pinterest to gather up some inspiration for the month of June. Enjoy!!

Current Beauty Faves

Hey guys, these products are the ones I have been using non stop recently and for good reason.

** I have been curling my lashes almost every day and it is something that makes such a huge difference. This eyelash curler by Shiseido is seriously the best eyelash curler ever! With one use, your lashes will curl and stay curled throughout the whole day. I prefer not to use mascara on a daily basis and with this eyelash curler I don't need to.

** This butter gloss by Nyx Cosmetics in Tiramisu is such a pretty color. It looks really natural with just a sheen over the lips. It is definitely my go-to color for every day.

** Ok, now for my absolute favorite product so far, this concealer or "un cover-up" by RMS Beauty is by far the best concealer/cover-up/foundation I have found for my skin. I have very sensitive skin that is oily and acne-prone so I have to be careful of what I put on my face. If I use the wrong product, I will immediately break out or get small red bumps (sucks, I know). However, I put this product almost everywhere on my face and nothing, not one break-out or crazy reaction. I set this with some translucent powder and I am good to go. I use this under my eyes for daily use and also use it as a foundation for when I want to look more put together. The best thing is that the ingredients are all natural and some are even organic. I cannot say enough great things about this product! I should have probably just done a post on this product only as I am rambling on about it :)

** Lastly, this hand cream by Soap & Glory is the best for winter. This hand cream prevents my hand from getting really dry and flaky. It leaves my hands soft and as if it was summer out :)

Holiday 2014 Gift Ideas

Holiday 2014 Gift Ideas
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7

Hi guys! I started doing my holiday shopping sooner than usual this year and I have to say I have not stepped in a mall for any of it. I am kind of proud of myself for being able to find everything online because who has time to go to the mall and dig through stuff? not me :) I have put together a list of gift ideas, some stocking stuffers and some that can be as main gifts. I had to add the RMS Beauty cream eye polish on this list. I have been using some of their products for the past few months and I love them, the best part is that they are made from all natural and mostly organic ingredients! I think this would be a great gift to introduce someone to this great brand of beauty products. I hope all of your holiday shopping is going great! Let me know what you think of these gift ideas or if you have some to add to this list :)

Favorite Summer Fragrances

I always love spraying my favorite fragrance every morning and something about it just makes me feel happy. Even on those mornings when I'm getting ready for work (especially Mondays), I find that a few sprays of perfume make me feel like I am ready for the day. I received a sample of the DKNY perfume from Sephora a while back and this stuff smells like a vacation in a bottle to me, this is why I always take it with me when I am going away on vacation. I took it to Punta Cana last year and it fit perfect in that Caribbean environment. Tocca fragrances will always be my favorite, I have tried quite a few of them and have fell in love with every single one of them. My favorite one is Stella, but in the summer I always reach for Colette, it has the perfect notes that make you feel sweet and sexy at the same time.

I would love to know what are your favorite fragrances for this warm weather!

Summer Beauty Inspiration

For summer I am all about keeping it simple with makeup and hair. I don't really like to fuss too much about my makeup and hair in any weather actually, but summer is when I really do not feel like wearing any foundation or wearing anything too heavy on my face. If I am wearing makeup, I tend to go really light on the application. I am also loving the idea of adding a pop of color either on the eyes or lips, because it's summer so why not right? Also a bare face is always beautiful and I love seeing women embracing their beauty this way. On a side note, I love freckles and wish I had them so I always cringe when women want to cover them up! haha... Anyway, what are your favorite makeup looks for this summer?

P.S. - You can find all the links to these pictures on my Pinterest!

Hair Inspiration

I must admit I am not the greatest at doing hair, mainly because I lose patience very quickly when it comes to hair. Whenever I try to blow dry my hair, I start at the bottom layers and these are usually the only layers that get done, haha. For this reason, I just tend to leave my hair at its natural wavy texture with the help of some products. I usually don't do anything else with my hair but figured a little experimentation wouldn't hurt. I got inspired to accessorize my hair with head jewelry and clip-in feathers which I think look great and perfect for summer. I also want to give braiding a chance, I love the half-up, half-down hairstyles with braids. What kind of hairstyles are you liking at the moment?

Lately

New dresses for spring (floral dress here)

New beauty products from Sephora

Lovely rose pink colored yarn

New planner and notebook from Poppin here and here

With the beginning of spring comes a lot of shopping as you can see :) I am super excited that Spring is finally here. I feel like I talk a lot about the weather all the time but it is something that it's part of our every day lives and that alters how I feel and what I wear (obviously). With the warmer weather, I am looking forward to eating healthier and getting exercise. I can't say that I am the most fit person, so going out for walks or running is something that I am really looking forward to. Eating healthier also comes with spring. I have always been curious about being vegan and eating only raw fruits and vegetables, so my fiance and I will be doing a cleansing weekend only eating the most freshest produce we can find. This will be a challenge for us but that makes it all that better and will also make us healthier even if it's just for two days. I would like to know what you guys are looking forward to doing for this spring/summer :)

Beauty Wish List

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7

Hi guys! These are some of the products that are on my current beauty wish list. I am not a big makeup wearer, I just wear the necessary products to cover up any blemishes or undereye circles and call it a day. Lately, I have been realizing that I want to go for more of the done up look (maybe because Valentine's day is around the corner). Mostly for taking pictures and when going out for special occasions, but I would like to incorporate more makeup into my routine. I have always been looking for a foundation that feels like I have nothing on and gives me a natural finish. I heard great things about the Nars Sheer Glow foundation so I will definitely be purchasing this one. I also squeezed in the Oribe hair mousse as I have been wanting to give it a try. Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what you think!

Fall Accessories

Fall and winter are great seasons to accessorize and have several layers in an outfit. An outfit does not seem complete if you don't add a scarf, beanie, or even a dark lip color. Here are some of the accessories that are my must haves for this season. What is your most favorite accessory for fall?

Beauty Wish List - Skincare

Beauty Wish List - Skincare

I have been pretty much using the same skincare products for the last 5 years or so. Last year, I discovered the Argan Oil from Josie Argan and I was amazed at how well it works. Since then, I have been trying to shift all of my skincare products to natural, good-for-you products. I just think that these will not only give good results in the present, but also will be beneficial for the future. Here are some of the products I would love to buy soon. I realize not all are natural brands (Kate Somerville and Kiehl's) but these products do not have any parabens. I use the Josie Maran oil at night as my moisturizer but now I am on the lookout for a morning moisturizer, preferably with SPF. I want to try the Argan oil light as my AM moisturizer, but if you have any other suggestions for natural moisturizers with SPF, I would love to hear them!

1. Josie Maran Argan Oil Light
2. Origins Eye Doctor
3. Kate Somerville Detox Daily Cleanser
4. Boscia Pore Purifying Strips
5. Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye cream
6. Kate Somerville ExfoliKate
7. Korres Greek Yoghurt Moisturizer
8. Josie Maran Rosey Mist

Beauty Wish List

Beauty Wish List

I usually don't like to wear so much makeup on a regular basis. I always stick to concealer, some powder, blush, and lip balm. As you can see from my pictures, I like to keep it simple most days. I have been thinking however, that incorporating some more color in my face routine wouldn't hurt. Keeping the face fresh, to a minimal, and adding some lip color is kind of my ideal look right now. I am always changing things up though, but for now here are some things that I am craving at the moment and would love to purchase once I have some extra cash.
I would love to know if you have tried any of these products and also any items you have on your wish list! :-)

1. Jouer Matte Moisture Tint
2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz
3. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder
4. Bare Minerals Matte Foundation
5. Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint - Spirited
6. Stila Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner - Black
7. Urban Decay Naked Flushed
8. Mac Lipstick - Candy Yum yum
9. Nars Radient Creamy Concealer
10. Benefit The POREfessional

Sephora Shopping Trip

I went to Sephora this weekend just to browse around and ended up coming out with these goodies. Sometimes it is better to just go into a store not knowing what to buy because you end up finding great items that you didn't even consider buying before.

I have been eyeing this eyeliner in Electric for the longest but never got around to get it. I finally purchased it since it is a fun color to have for summer. I will most probably use it to line my lower lash line to give an ordinary look some pop.

This has to be my favorite primer of all time. It leaves my skin looking even and really makes my makeup stay on longer than with any other primer I have tried out. (this is the smaller size, it also comes in a bigger size but they were out, so I had to get this one)

After trying several different brow pencils and not having any luck, I decided to get this brow powder. I actually received a sample of this last year and have been wanting to get the full size ever since.

I used to use this concealer back when I started using the Bare Minerals line and I have no idea why I stopped. It really covers up any mark or undereye circle. I know some people don't like the idea of powder underneath the eyes, but the consistency of this one does not really show up as a powder and instead blends into your skin leaving a really natural finish.

You can never go wrong with this handcream! It is really moisturizing and inexpensive. I also included this handcream in my last Sephora haul which is a coincidence but yea... I buy this handcream a lot because I love it!!
