Fall '14 Wish List

Here are some of the things I am really hoping to get for Fall. I say hoping because I am a big procrastinator even when it comes to shopping. I tend to start shopping for things toward the end of the season, which makes no sense. However, I think this year I am starting early (for me at least) in building my wish lists and picking out things I really want. My style is pretty casual and laid back most of the time, but I find myself really wanting things that are super comfortable and look like I can wear for everyday looks. Swimsuit Wishlist

If you saw my last post, then you might remember that I recently purchased the floral bikini (#4). I am trying to build my swimsuit collection as usually, I neglect purchasing swimsuits every summer. I always gravitate towards bright prints and colors for swimsuits, I think it's super fun especially when I have a tan. I don't have any plans to go away on vacation just yet, but we have already made a trip to the beach and I loved wearing my floral swimsuit :) Have you guys been swimsuit shopping already?

Summer Wish List

Hey guys! With Memorial Day weekend came the unofficial start of summer and of course I am very excited about that :)  I am loving mixing pastel shades with bright colors for this summer as you can see from my picks. Slip dresses are a must for me this summer especially ones with a bright print like this one. I have always wanted to buy white shoes for summer and just never got around to it. These shoes look so chic and will go great with slip dresses and even cut off shorts. I think anything to do with summer just makes me happy, what do you guys think? :)

I realize that we are four months into the year but I missed to get a planner for this year. I always had a planner when I was in college, this kept me so organized and helped me remember what I needed to do as I tend to forget everythingggg! :) Every since I finished school, I really did not think I had the need for a planner. However, now that I am blogging and trying to plan our wedding, things can get out of control sometimes and I start forgetting stuff again. I have been searching for planners and notebooks to help me make lists and write new ideas and inspiration. It's really hard finding a planner now that it is April, but I was able to find these really great notebooks and notepads. If you have any other suggestions for where to get planners I would really appreciate it! :)

Spring Wishlist

You have no idea how happy I am that spring is here! Even though it has not reached average spring-like temperatures yet, I am still happy that the days are longer and that we no longer have 20 degree weather. What I am looking forward to doing in spring is going out for walks, eating fresh salads, drinking fruit smoothies, and wearing dresses! I am loving maxi skirts and dresses for this spring, floral and flowy ones in particular. I am also really into pastels, especially in crop tops. Vanessa Mooney's jewelry has been catching my attention recently, all her pieces are just so beautiful. I cannot wait for spring to be in full swing, what are some of the things on your wish list?

Beauty Wish List

Hi guys! These are some of the products that are on my current beauty wish list. I am not a big makeup wearer, I just wear the necessary products to cover up any blemishes or undereye circles and call it a day. Lately, I have been realizing that I want to go for more of the done up look (maybe because Valentine's day is around the corner). Mostly for taking pictures and when going out for special occasions, but I would like to incorporate more makeup into my routine. I have always been looking for a foundation that feels like I have nothing on and gives me a natural finish. I heard great things about the Nars Sheer Glow foundation so I will definitely be purchasing this one. I also squeezed in the Oribe hair mousse as I have been wanting to give it a try. Black Boots

As I mentioned in my Winter Essentials post, I have been wearing some form of black boots every day pretty much since the winter started. I did, however just ordered some leopard printed booties so maybe they will break me out of my habit. Since I know I will be wearing black boots all the time even throughout the summer, it does not hurt to browse and shop for additional styles. With Hat In Hand

I tend to not over-accessorize my looks that often, much of that is a result of me just trying to get out of the door as quickly as possible. Nonetheless, I would like to step up my accessorizing game and figured these hats would be the perfect starting point. It helps that I am obsessing with these types of fedora or "Panama" hats at the moment. For fall options, I will be looking for textures like felt or wool which would be perfect to finish a cozy and minimal outfit. Beauty Wish List - Skincare

I have been pretty much using the same skincare products for the last 5 years or so. Last year, I discovered the Argan Oil from Josie Argan and I was amazed at how well it works. Since then, I have been trying to shift all of my skincare products to natural, good-for-you products. I just think that these will not only give good results in the present, but also will be beneficial for the future. Here are some of the products I would love to buy soon. I realize not all are natural brands (Kate Somerville and Kiehl's) but these products do not have any parabens. I use the Josie Maran oil at night as my moisturizer but now I am on the lookout for a morning moisturizer, preferably with SPF. I want to try the Argan oil light as my AM moisturizer, but if you have any other suggestions for natural moisturizers with SPF, I would love to hear them!

Beauty Wish List

 

I usually don't like to wear so much makeup on a regular basis. I always stick to concealer, some powder, blush, and lip balm. As you can see from my pictures, I like to keep it simple most days. I have been thinking however, that incorporating some more color in my face routine wouldn't hurt. Keeping the face fresh, to a minimal, and adding some lip color is kind of my ideal look right now.
