Sephora Haul

Hi Everyone!
I am delighted to share with you some of the goodies I purchased from Sephora this past weekend. I had to buy some products that I needed but in this shopping trip, I decided to treat myself with a few extras since I find that I usually buy things I need (and not just want) when I go shopping for beauty products.

I use this as my daytime moisturizer since it is not heavy and won't interfer with my makeup. It provides just the right amount of moisture even for the winter, and it doesn't break me out or clog my pores.

I needed to replace the brush head for my Clarisonic and got this one for sensitive skin. The Clarisonic has become a staple in my skincare routine and has transformed my skin for the better!

I wanted to add a coral-tone blush to my collection and fell in love with this one by Tarte in the color Tipsy. I own another one of these Tarte blushes and cannot say enough good things about it! I love all the natural ingredients as well as the staying power and color selection.

I found this eyeshadow duo by Sephora in the color Tropical Blue on sale for $4! I do not own any eyeshadow colors like these and I cannot wait to use these colors to line my eyes and as an allover color on the lid.

My skin has not been reacting so well to the cold weather, so I was in desperate need of a good hand cream and decided to purchase this one. The scent is lovely and for the price and amount of cream you get in this tube, it is well worth buying.

I would love to know, what are some of your winter skincare staples?

My Favorite Winter 2013 Trends

Winter has always been the season that I feel the least inspired when it comes to dressing up. It is something about the dull skies and the lack of green leaves and colorful flowers that gets my spirits down just a bit. This year, however, I have decided to shake those feelings off and embrace the current trends of the season. I am loving the following trends and have incorporated them into items from my recent shopping trip.

I love that leather can always make you feel sexy even in the winter! I am loving these faux leather leggings.

If you feel the way I do about winter then you will appreciate the pops of color that are in trend! It is so refreshing to see colors other than black or grey in stores.

I was never one to wear skirts in the winter since I do not tolerate the cold very well :( but I just couldn't resist some of the skirts I spotted in stores. Paired with booties and tucked-in blouses (and of course tights), skirts are sure to bring a refreshing change in my wardrobe.

Peplums have carried their way over to fall and winter.  I think it is a great way to show off your figure in the winter when sometimes over-sized cozy sweaters and puffy jackets can prevent you from doing so. I am loving peplums especially in tops.

I would love to hear some of your favorite trends for the winter!
