Lush Sympathy for the Skin Review
I featured this lotion on my Lush mini haul and decided to do a review on it. I am a lover of Lush products and have always wanted to try out this lotion. The winter has not been good to my skin, making it really dry. I usually don't have dry skin so my usual choices of body lotions have always been geared towards the scent. My skin has always been sensitive but lately it seems like it has become OVERLY sensitive. I was getting little red bumps on my skin due to the dryness caused by using hot water, the brisk cold air, among other things. I picked up this lotion as I saw that it is great for sensitive and dry skin. Once I lathered it onto my body I could automatically feel my skin feeling really soft. Over time, the red bumps have also been disappearing.
This vegan lotion is made out of organic bananas (yum), cocoa butter, lemon oil, and vanilla; you can even see the little flecks of the vanilla. When you smell the lotion at the store you might be thinking that you're going to smell like a banana but once you put it on your skin, the scent is not overpowering at all and it actually smells more like vanilla.
The consistency is really not thick but don't let that fool you, it is a really moisturizing lotion. I have to say though, it absorbs really quickly into the skin and does not leave a greasy feeling whatsoever. If your skin is mostly always on the dry side, I would even recommend using this in the summer.
I pretty much use it all over my body right after I get out of the shower as this is when your skin absorbs products the most.
I will most definitely be buying this lotion again and again, I am so in love with it. Also, if you collect 5 of these black pots, you can bring them back to Lush and get a free fresh mask!
Please post a comment if you have used this lotion before and your thoughts, or if you found this post helpful :-)
