Sunday Crafts

I love just getting in a zone and being able to be creative, even if I'm just making a simple bracelet or starting a new scarf. I just love the process of coming up with an idea, realizing it, and seeing the finished result. I don't really get to be that creative at my "real job" but when I am coming up with new ideas for crafts, outfits, inspiration and subsequently blogging about it, that is when my creativity comes out and I really enjoy it :) What do you guys like to do when being creative?

Festival Wears

I am so in love with the fashion I have been seeing lately for Coachella. I so wish I could have gone but instead I am left to admire the photos and outfits! If you guys are at all into Coachella fashion, then you know that Vanessa Hudgens killed it this year. I am in love with her even more now! I put together some of the things that I would bring along to the desert if I had the chance to go. The music festivals for this year are not over yet, so there is still hope ;) What would you wear to a music festival?

Hey guys! I am so in love with this maxi skirt I picked up at H&M the other day. It is so light and flowy and I know I am going to be wearing it more and more this summer. This skirt came in two other colors I believe, so I am for sure going back to pick up the other two. 1. Are you named after someone?
Well...my grandma picked my name, she is very religious so she wanted to incorporate Christ into my name and she came up with Christel!



2. When was the last time you cried?
I think it might have been last month when I was watching a sad movie

3. Do you have kiddos?
Not yet, really want to get a dog soon though if that counts :)

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
Yes! I am very easy going, love to laugh, and very loyal

5.  Do you have a guilty pleasure?
The Real Housewives of everywhere! haha my favorite is the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Will makes fun of me when I watch this show

6. Do you like handwriting?
I like other people's handwriting, but my handwriting is kind of sloppy so I rather type :)

7. What is your favorite cereal?
I don't really eat cereal, I eat granola instead with some yogurt and fruits..tastes so good!

8. What is the first thing you notice about people?
Their smile! I love it when others smile, even if they are complete strangers and they just smile at you for no reason

9. What color are your eyes?
Brown

10. Scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings, I love comedy movies so yeah I rather have happy endings

11. Favorite TV show?
I like so many! I am definitely one that watches way too many TV shows so naturally I can't just pick one favorite, but here are my top five: Big Bang Theory, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, True Detective

I LOVE summer

Big hugs

14. What's the furthest you've been from home?
When I went to Peru to visit some of my family that lives there

15. Do you have any special talents?
I guess if you count knitting then yeah that would be my special talent and making all kinds of different crafts

I was born in Peru and came to the US when I was very little and been here ever since

17. What are your hobbies?
I have so many - some of them are knitting, making jewelry, searching for new music (I love all kinds of music)

18. Do you have any pets?
Not at the moment

I don't really have a favorite movie now, but growing up I can tell you my favorite movie was E.T.

20. What color is your car?
White

21. What did you wanted to be when you grow up?
I wanted to be an astronaut and an art teacher, not sure how those two were gonna work out in conjunction

Dreaming in Pastel

Pastels always look so feminine and sweet in my eyes. Anything in blush or mint or any pastel shade is great to welcome spring. I am loving blush-toned maxi skirts and a hint of mint in any outfit. Since Easter is right around the corner, I got inspired to search for pastel pops of colors to add to my outfits. Will you wearing pastels this spring?

It felt like summer this weekend so naturally I decided to grab a light, floral dress for the occasion. Seeing the flowers finally blooming gives me so much excitement! This weekend we loaded up on fruits and veggies for our weekend vegan cleanse. It felt so good to drink fruit infused water in the morning followed by smoothies and fresh juices. We look forward to doing it again as the temperature rises. I hope your weekend was lovely, thanks for stopping by :)

With the beginning of spring comes a lot of shopping as you can see :) I am super excited that Spring is finally here. I feel like I talk a lot about the weather all the time but it is something that it's part of our every day lives and that alters how I feel and what I wear (obviously). With the warmer weather, I am looking forward to eating healthier and getting exercise. I can't say that I am the most fit person, so going out for walks or running is something that I am really looking forward to. Eating healthier also comes with spring. I have always been curious about being vegan and eating only raw fruits and vegetables, so my fiance and I will be doing a cleansing weekend only eating the most freshest produce we can find. This will be a challenge for us but that makes it all that better and will also make us healthier even if it's just for two days. I would like to know what you guys are looking forward to doing for this spring/summer :)

Crop Top and Clear Skies

The place that we shot these pictures at is not really that reminiscent of the desert but it sure made me wish I lived by it. I love a beautiful scenery that ranges from clear skies to fields of flowers. Sometimes I wish I could live in a more rural place for the purpose of admiring these types of scenery (wouldn't hurt for taking outfit of the day pictures either). This past Sunday the new season of Game of Thrones started! We had a viewing party at my house filled with drinks, good food, and company. It was a great time and felt good to hang out and relax.
