Yesterday I celebrated my 26th birthday! I find that as I get older, I don't make such a big deal about my birthday but nonetheless, I still like to celebrate it. It was a pretty mellow day which started with my boyfriend making me breakfast (he is the greatest). We went shopping for the most part of the day but definitely had to make time to have dinner with my parents, they always like to be there to wish me happy birthday. The day was not complete until we went to catch the midnight release of Star Trek, what can I say...I'm kind of a nerd ;-)
This past weekend, my boyfriend and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to Philly. We've never been even though we live about 3 hours away. I really love this city; it is so full of history, the people are soo friendly, and of course the Philly cheese steaks... The area that we were mostly at was full of tourists. However, where we went to eat (which was on South Street), had a totally different vibe. It was filled with a lot of cool shops and the atmosphere was really welcoming and fun, definitely liked this part of town. A weekend was not enough to see all of the different sights so we will definitely be going back soon! For now, I hope you enjoy all the pictures :-)

Philly cheese steak sandwich from Jim's Steaks, highly recommend it (I got mine with provolone cheese, grilled onions, and peppers)
The line outside of Jim's Steaks, had to wait there for about 45 minutes but it was well worth it!
For this spring, I am on the hunt for nude or white flats to complete outfits that are composed of light washes of colors. I found some really great options (I wish I could buy them all!) but below are some of the ones that stood out to me the most.
I am currently in love with the whole black and white trend but decided to add a pop of color (since it is spring). This is the outfit I wore yesterday for a day of shopping at the mall with my mom. Since Mother's day and my birthday are around the same time, my mom and I decided to go together and buy each other our gifts, very convenient ;-)

This past week I have been reading a lot, looking through a lot of pictures, and browsing through stores for new spring outfits and some home decor. I just love to constantly feel inspired and to find new and cool things to motivate me each day. I like to see the beauty in each thing, flaws and all. I think the flaws in things (and people) gives them character and makes them beautiful.
Nothing or nobody is perfect...
Anyhow, I just wanted to share some of the things that have been inspiring me and I am loving :-)
I absolutely love this time of the year as all the flowers start to bloom and because of all the gorgeous colors of the leaves on the trees.
I have really been enjoying this scent for the spring, it is so feminine and reminiscent of the spring!
I fell in love with the color of this hoodie and had to get it! (Forever21)
Really cool and unexpected design of lemon cookies at Maggiano's
I featured this lotion on my Lush mini haul and decided to do a review on it. I am a lover of Lush products and have always wanted to try out this lotion. The winter has not been good to my skin, making it really dry. I usually don't have dry skin so my usual choices of body lotions have always been geared towards the scent. My skin has always been sensitive but lately it seems like it has become OVERLY sensitive. I was getting little red bumps on my skin due to the dryness caused by using hot water, the brisk cold air, among other things. I picked up this lotion as I saw that it is great for sensitive and dry skin. Once I lathered it onto my body I could automatically feel my skin feeling really soft. Over time, the red bumps have also been disappearing.
This vegan lotion is made out of organic bananas (yum), cocoa butter, lemon oil, and vanilla; you can even see the little flecks of the vanilla. When you smell the lotion at the store you might be thinking that you're going to smell like a banana but once you put it on your skin, the scent is not overpowering at all and it actually smells more like vanilla.
The consistency is really not thick but don't let that fool you, it is a really moisturizing lotion. I have to say though, it absorbs really quickly into the skin and does not leave a greasy feeling whatsoever. If your skin is mostly always on the dry side, I would even recommend using this in the summer.
I pretty much use it all over my body right after I get out of the shower as this is when your skin absorbs products the most.
I will most definitely be buying this lotion again and again, I am so in love with it. Also, if you collect 5 of these black pots, you can bring them back to Lush and get a free fresh mask!
Please post a comment if you have used this lotion before and your thoughts, or if you found this post helpful :-)
Hi everyone! I wanted to share my outfit that I wore this past Sunday. I am soo happy it is finally getting warmer! My boyfriend and I went to grab breakfast but then decided to stay at home for the rest of the day and watch our favorite shows. There are days when I just rather stay in and pretty much just lounge around the house and this was one of those days.
